Slot Cars- Started racing slot cars at age 7 at Allen's Kartway (now speedway 94).  Won a good many races running against some older guys including Danny Jones, Hank Gentzler, Barry Livelsberger and a host of others.  Had a lot of fun racing there in the middle of the week against those guys.

RC Cars-  Started racing RC cars around age 10.  Ran those for a a few years.  Had a lot of fun racing at Denwick's in Fayetteville on the dirt oval and then in the winter we would race at the community center every weekend on a carpet track which was a ton of fun.

Go-Karts-  Started racing go-karts at age 15 at Hunterstown Speedway.  We won 2 races in the first year in the 575 restricted class.  Moved to the super stock class won some     races and a championship in '96.  Won on the concrete at the farmshow in '95.  Met some very close friends at the go-kart races and eventually my wife Laurie.

305 Sprints - I started racing the 305 sprints in 1998.  I sold all of the go-kart stuff and worked every weekend at Grove Worldwide (crane company) to save up for the sprint car that we bought used from Kevin McNew.  It was a 1996 low-rail    Gambler. We ran in the Virginia Sprint Series.  This was a lot of fun.  We got to travel and meet some great people.  We won 3 times the first season and got our first win my second time in a sprint car.  In 1999 we won 7 times including The inaugural 305 Nationals.  We set fast time and won the heat and then won the 50 lap feature in a spirited race with our bud Bo Reiner.  For winning that we got a gold ring and a nice trophy.  In 2000 we won 11 times and the Nationals for the second time.  This was a very fun time racing down south and I still go down to the Nationals every Sept. to watch, eat, and hang out with some great people

358 sprints - To race 358 sprints I again had to take off a year to save money up.  We sold my 305 stuff and my dad bought one to race with Erin Statler down south.  I would race at Path Valley every other week to keep from getting to rusty.  I bought a used 1999 Gambler and in 2002 we raced at Selinsgrove and Williams Grove.  We ended the season early for lack of money but we did have a couple heat wins and some consi wins so it was not to bad. In 2003 was about the same results with starting the season late and ending early but had some heat wins and some top 3's.  In 2004 we had the opportunity to get a new car so we got a new JEI.  We got our first win at Selinsgrove in July and another the final points race.  We won the points in 2004 and had 19 top 10's just a very consistent year.  2005 we got our first win at Williams Grove and Won the Jack Gunn Memorial at Selinsgrove.
